No Python required. FootagePipeline is a standalone application โ€” nothing to install beyond the steps below.

Installation

Extract the ZIP to C:\FootagePipeline\

Extract footagepipeline-windows.zip to this exact location:

C:\FootagePipeline\
Required location. FootagePipeline must be installed in C:\FootagePipeline\ for auto-updates and script deployment to work correctly. After extracting you should have C:\FootagePipeline\footagepipeline.exe.

Set your Anthropic API key

Create a file called .env in C:\FootagePipeline\ with the following content:

ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=your-api-key-here

Your API key is available at console.anthropic.com.

Start FootagePipeline

Double-click footagepipeline.exe โ€” or open PowerShell in that folder and run:

.\footagepipeline.exe

Your browser will open automatically at http://localhost:7842. Leave the terminal window open while FootagePipeline is running.

Activate your license

Click Activate License in the top navigation bar, enter the license key from your purchase email, and click Activate.

FootagePipeline will automatically install all required scripts into DaVinci Resolve. They will appear under Workspace → Scripts the next time you open the Scripts menu.

Create your first project

Click + New Project, enter a client code (e.g. ACME) and project name, then follow the pipeline stages on the dashboard.
